Vancouver island. (Victoria island is in the Arctic and not in BC)

  4. Seems like an eye sore on a beautiful area….. what happens to all of that waste when they can’t live there anymore?

Zanderrelief – haul what will not decompose and let nature take the rest. Not the answer you want to hear, no doubt, but take a look at the wild they live in (really… pull it up on Google maps). Infinite tracks of rainy forest that would gladly devour the wooden remnants of their project.

It must take a lot of work to maintain their floats, especially on salt water. It takes just about as much time and energy as we have to maintain our 40X40 foot cedar log foundation float and docks on Powell Lake, and that is fresh water without the problem of teredos (ship worms) eating the wood right out from under us. – Margy
